On July 24, 2024, the President of the Siracusa International Institute for Criminal Justice and Human Rights, Jean-François Thony, and the Director of the Internetional Nuremberg Principles Academy, Christoph Safferling, signed a Memorandum of Understanding.
Both institutions have committed to collaborating on research and expanding their geographical reach to strenghten capacities in the area of international criminal law, artificial intelligence, rule of law and human rights, including implementation of the REACT project.
The project is a pivotal initiative aimed at enhancing the capacity for investigating and prosecuting atrocity crimes, particularly in Sub-Saharan Africa and East Asia region.
By joining forces, the Siracusa International Institute and the Nuremberg Academy seek to make significant contributions to advancing international criminal justice and upholding human rights.
