On 13 October, the Siracusa Institute, represented by its President Jean-François Thony, signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Supreme Judiciary Council of the State of Qatar, represented by Justice Abdulla Almuhannadi, First Vice President of the Court of Appeal.
The mutual cooperation between the two institutions will focus on exchanging experience, discussions and capacity-building programs, with particular reference to training programs for judges and officers in charge of the administration of justice and courts, the management of cases, and the development of civil procedural laws and regulations.
This MoU follows the bilateral cooperation programs between the two institutions that already exist since 2022 , and which culminated in the organization of 4 Specialization Training Seminars on “Artificial Intelligence, Criminal Justice and Human Rights”.
