Filippo Musca, Deputy Director of the Siracusa International Institute for Criminal Justice and Human Rights (Siracusa International Institute), attended the 2nd Steering Committee Meeting  of the Project “Raising Awareness and Staff MObility on RADicalisation in Prison and Probation services” (RASMORAD P&P), at the Prison and Probation Staff Training Academy in Rome, on July 3rd.

The Project is funded by the European Union’s Justice Programme and the Siracusa International Institute is one of the scientific partners together with the IRPS – Istituto Psicoanalitico per le Ricerche Sociali (IT) and the West University of Timisoara (RO).

The overall purpose of RASMORAD is the prevention of radicalisation in prisons, mainly by adopting specific preventative measures, developing risk assessment methodology, strengthening expertise in the identification of risks, and enhancing professional competences of prison and probation staff in order to implement exit strategies before release.

Mr. Musca previously attended the Kick-Off Meeting of the project, which was held in Rome on February 22.
