“Ethica, towards a common code of ethics for international criminal judges”

05/02/2023

On 6 February 2023, the project “Ethica, towards a common code of ethics for international criminal judges” opened in Nuremberg (Germany).

The project, implemented by a consortium made up of the International Nuremberg Principles Academy, the École nationale de la magistrature and The Siracusa International Institute for Criminal Justice and Human Rights aims at identifying the ethical rules applicable to international criminal judges, based on concrete cases that have arisen before international criminal jurisdictions.

This first seminar enabled high-level experts, including several presidents of international criminal courts and tribunals, to explore the path towards a common code of ethics for international criminal jurisdictions.

The second seminar will be held at ENM Paris on 15 May.
