E-learning program: International Law and Current Conflicts

The Siracusa International Institute For Criminal Justice And Human Rights is pleased to launch its next course on International Law and Current Conflicts as part of its E-learning program on international criminal law, international cooperation in criminal matters and human rights and criminal justice.

The course will be coordinated by Professor Leila Sadat and will be held from 22 to 24 March, 2024.

With the outbreak of a brutal war in Gaza, and the continuation of war in Ukraine and in the Sudan, just to name a few current conflicts, there is a worry that the international legal order is fraying beyond repair. This 3-day online course will explore some of the many ways in which international law and institutions have been asked to address elements of global conflict including State responsibility, accountability for human rights abuses, individual criminal accountability, and economic concerns.
