Commemoration event of the twenty-fifth anniversary of the adoption of the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court in Siracusa

29/08/2023

The Siracusa International Institute for Criminal Justice and Human Rights is excited to host the next event in the commemoration series of the twenty-fifth anniversary of the adoption of the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court at our headquarters in Siracusa, Italy, on 12-13 October. This event holds special importance as we continue and build upon the discussions initiated in New York, in July 2023.

The event in New York, held in the headquarters of the United Nations, brought together high-level guests from across the world, providing a valuable opportunity to reflect on how to ensure consistent and sustainable support for the ICC in the next decade and strengthen the international criminal law ecosystem. Through engaging panels and interactive sessions, the commemoration event in Siracusa aims to enhance the discourse with new perspectives and insights. We intend to reflect on the past, celebrate progress, and set our sights on a future rooted in justice and accountability.

Stay tuned for updates on our distinguished panelists and dynamic conversations that will shape the path forward.
