The Siracusa International Institute, whose mission is to promote peace and security through the promotion of international criminal justice, the rule of law and human rights, strongly condemns the unjustified violation of international law, norms and principles committed by the unlawful invasion of the State of Ukraine. The unlawful use of force in Ukraine is an act of aggression, and a threat to peace and security in Europe and worldwide, undermining the international rule of law order and violating the UN Charter. A united and coordinated response must be taken to protect lives of innocents, putting an end on military operations and immediately re-establishing peace.
