Between July 4–7, 2022, the Siracusa International Institute for Criminal Justice and Human Rights, in cooperation with the Supreme Judiciary Council of Qatar and in partnership with UNESCO, organized a Specialization Training Seminar on “Artificial Intelligence, Criminal Justice and Human Rights”. The seminar took place in the headquarters of the Siracusa Institute, in Siracusa, Italy, between July 4–6, 2022, and was followed by a one-day study visit in Rome, Italy, on July 7.
The Training Seminar brought together 10 judges from Qatar and was conducted in English, with simultaneous interpretation in Arabic. From a methodological point of view, the course was articulated in a series of plenary sessions, tackling specific topics related to the overall subject matter. A combination of theoretical and practical skills were developed during the activities.
