Flavio Bellio works as a Legal Officer for the Siracusa International Institute for Criminal Justice and Human Rights. Since joining the Institute in 2018, he has been working on numerous projects across all its areas of activity (research, capacity-strengthening, and higher education) in the field of criminal justice and human rights.

In particular, he has led and contributed to global and regional research projects in the fields of international and European law, as well as on the topics of transnational organized crime, illicit trade, and money laundering, and was involved in the design and implementation of capacity-strengthening projects in these fields.

Flavio graduated in Law at Université Libre de Bruxelles (Belgium) with a specialization in public and international law and holds an L.L.M. in Law and Government of the European Union from LUISS Guido Carli (Italy).
