SCJP is open to members of the International Association of Prosecutors (IAP), as well as prosecutors and related criminal justice professionals who are not IAP members. However, the registration cost for non-IAP members includes an additional amount (€50), which is the cost of annual IAP membership.
Applicants should have no more than ten years’ relevant professional experience.
The Specialisation Course will be delivered in English. Therefore, a high level of English proficiency is required.
Registrations for SCJP 2019 open on Tuesday 18 December 2018. The online registration form must be completed on the Siracusa Institute website (see the Registration Form tab). Prior to submitting your registration form, you must ensure that you have attached your curriculum vitae and a brief motivation letter as directed.
The total number of participants will be limited to 50. Geographic and gender balance will be considered in selecting participants.
The Registration Contribution for the two-week Specialisation Course is € 1,200 for IAP members, and € 1,250 for non-IAP members. You must indicate in the online registration form whether you are a current IAP member.
While applicants are strongly encouraged to attend both weeks to gain the maximum benefit of the Specialisation Course, you may apply for either week (30 June – 6 July or 7 July – 13 July) at € 700 for IAP members, and € 750 for non-IAP members.
Registration closes on 27 March 2019 unless the total number of places are filled before this deadline. Therefore, applicants are strongly advised to register as soon as possible. Acceptance letters will be sent out shortly after the close of registration. Candidates who are not accepted for the course will be informed accordingly.

A very limited limited number of scholarships will be available to facilitate the participation of those who might not otherwise be able to attend. If you wish to be considered for a scholarship, you must indicate this in the online registration form and state your gross annual income in Euros (providing proof by means of a recent pay slip).
Applicants who request a scholarship must also indicate in the online registration form whether they will accept a full-fee paying place, if they cannot be provided a scholarship this year.
Applicants who are accepted into this year’s the Specialisation Course will receive further details about how to pay the registration contribution. Payment can only be made by bank transfer to the Siracusa Institute.
In order to confirm your participation, payment must be received by the Siracusa Institute within fifteen days of you being notified of your acceptance.
