Filippo Musca, Deputy Director of the Siracusa International Institute for Criminal Justice and Human Rights, attended the Kick-Off Meeting of the project “Raising Awareness and Staff MObility on RADicalisation in Prison and Probation services” (RASMORAD P&P) today in Rome, funded by the European Union’s Justice Programme.

The Siracusa Institute is one of the scientific partners of the project, together with the IRPS – Istituto Psicoanalitico per le Ricerche Sociali (IT) and the West University of Timisoara (RO).

The overall purpose of the project is the prevention of radicalisation in prisons, mainly by adopting specific preventative measures, developing risk assessment methodology, strengthening expertise in the identification of the risk, and enhancing prison and probation staffs’ professional competences in order to implement exit strategies before release.
